About Us
The E3 Collaborative is a group of neighborhood organizations working together to contribute to the education, health, and well-being of our community.
The Collaborative's focus is based on common goals shared by its nonprofit partners:
- Preserving and encouraging access to nature.
- Supporting sustainability education, health and well-being for people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities.
- Developing educational, experiential learning and multigenerational programs including those around the nexus of agriculture, horticulture, nutrition, science, sustainability, community building, and the local history and agricultural traditions of Encinitas.
- Leveraging the programs and resources of each Partner to achieve the Collaborative's mutual goals.
- Working with the City of Encinitas on planning and development within the E3 Collaborative.
The partners are: Coastal Roots Farm, Encinitas Union School District, Leichtag Foundation, Magdalena Ecke Family YMCA, San Dieguito Heritage Ranch, San Diego Botanic Garden, and Seacrest Village.
The E3 organizations provide:
- A chance to learn about the history of the area through hands on exhibits and programs.
- A vibrant community for older adults that incorporates the social, spiritual and healthcare needs throughout its levels of care.
- A highly regarded and nationally recognized school disctrict for academic programs, 21.5 Century learning, health and wellness, our environmental stewardship.
- A community hub where families come to be part of something bigger
- Economic development, food production, and intellectual and creative hub
- Inspiration for people of all ages to connect to nature and plants
- Connections to philanthropic, botanic, educational, historic, health and fitness, housing, environmental, and other organizations around the region, the nation, and internationally.
